I’m in the Wolfstar Pack!

As I’m sure most of you will have heard by now, I’ve joined Wolfstar as an account executive. And if you haven’t heard yet, you will do soon, I’ve just updated my social media profiles… Wowsers.

# DISCLAIMER: I’m trying to avoid the customary brown-nose-the-new-place situation. And anyone that’s spoken to me (digitally or physically) will know I’m just not the type for those antics! #

Wolfstar is a great agency that I think (and I’ve seen in the last few days) are doing the things that other agencies are saying that they do – and this was one of the biggest draws for me. There are numerous other reasons but that would invalidate my disclaimer.

The whole cat-and-mouse game has really been an exercise in Recruitment 2.0 (urgh!). I first met Stuart a while ago through Twitter and we had a few interesting conversations about both the future of Wolfstar and what I wanted from my future. Then I decided I needed (ahem) to grab a little bit more of their attention, so I set up a Facebook group listing five reasons that I wanted to work there and five reasons why they should employ me! I invited a few social media movers and shakers to join (thank you all, if you’re reading this!) to show that I knew the people that mattered and then something wonderful happened – the group members began posting very complimentary things about me on the group wall – References 2.0!

Well after then threatening them with a barbershop quartet – honestly – Chris Norton asked me to pop in for a chat. And the rest, is… History!

  • Congrats Jed - you showed great initiative with your Recruitment 2.0 drive so really well deserved. Looking forward to seeing how you get on with the Wolfstar crew and what you get up to next!

    Cheers,

Thanks Becks, that means a lot to me!

I want to get down the wall of Corn as soon as possible to put my new Aussie surf skills to practice, I'll give you a call when I get there!

  • Very good idea! Congratulations!:)
  • Congratulations... that's a bloody great way to get a job... 10/10 for originally and initiative...!

So I take it you won't be coming back to AA to sit next to me? Fine then, I guess I'll have to quit work and come and sit next to you in your new office. Can you ask your boss man please if thats OK. Tell him I'm good at SEO and have I have twitter now and all sorts. Seriously. Tell him I'm not too much trouble and I make lots of cups of tea.

    Thank you and congrats!
